They don’t let just anyone buy a Franchise…

Not just anyone is allowed to buy a franchise…

Applicants are screened and evaluated by the corporate office to decide if the individual would be a good fit for the business.

The application process can take 30 to 60 days and requires you to fill out multiple forms and have in-person interviews before you are even given the opportunity to invest in the franchise.

For All County Franchise this process is pretty extensive in order to ensure that franchises are only awarded to those with the greatest potential to succeed… and not everyone makes the cut.

This is what almost happened to one of All County’s franchisees…

The All County corporate office was worried whether or not they would be able to support this individual… but with some hesitation they eventually rewarded him with a franchise.

And it’s a good thing they did because this individual turned out to be one of the best performing offices out of all of the offices nation-wide.

Let’s see. So we had this other individual that came through because we do a meet-the-team day, and it’s really important at a meet-the-team day to get to know the individuals that you’re working with because if we can’t support you we’re probably not a good fit. And this individual came through at meet-the-team day and it was like, “Oh my gosh, I don’t think we can support this guy.” And Scott, my husband, was the same way, he was like, “I just don’t think this is going to work.” Now, this individual really wanted to do this so we said, “Well, come back, bring your wife.” So he brings his wife and she is absolutely delightful, I mean just amazing, and they’re like night and day and we loved her. And it was amazing that together how grounded they both were, and that was our concern with him, is that he didn’t have enough grounding to see it through. Fortunately for us, we went ahead and awarded them a franchise and it’s a good thing because, well, they were one of our top-grossing offices for a number of years.

Sandy Ferrera:

Marketing is one of those facets that is paramount to the growth of your business. You can’t grow if you’re not marketing. And yet we find that probably the hardest thing for any franchisee, I don’t care if you’re looking at accounting, if you’re looking at Mitas or you’re looking at Jimmy John’s, is the franchisees tend to struggle with the marketing aspect. It’s second nature, we want to work on the business, we don’t want to go out and capture new business.

So as a franchiser we do a lot of things in-house to help support and facilitate that lead generation for our franchisees. We don’t want to assume all of it, we still want our franchisees to go out there and make connections and get referrals and help build their business, but we also know that we don’t want them to walk alone. We want to make sure that they do have these leads coming in, and so we have a multi-faceted marketing program that we spur on from our home office to help them grow their business.

Is an All County Franchise a good investment for Real Estate Investors and Rental Property Owners?

Is an All County Franchise a good investment for Real Estate Investor?

It is hard to give you a straight ‘yes’ or ‘no’, but if you understand the business model of property management I think you may start to lean more towards ‘yes!’.

If you own your own rental properties then you know the benefits of having an asset that makes money for you in the background.

The problem is that anybody can manage 10 rental properties, but once you get past 10 – well managing 100 gets a little bit more difficult.

But then you get into doing property management as a business and you say, “Okay, if I manage a 100 rental properties I can get X. I don’t have the real estate taxes, I don’t have the insurance. I don’t have the maintenance and upkeep. Now, if I manage a 1,000 of those properties my X becomes an XYZ, it’s a grand slam.”

What is the franchise recruitment process like?

What is the franchise recruitment process like with All County?

Well it exists for two reasons. One, it allows you to really decide whether or not this is the right business for you. And Two, it helps us determine if you’re going to be a good fit for the All County system.

I got the opportunity to sit down with the All County CEO to ask her about the franchise recruitment process, and her response helps you to understand what All County looks for in potential franchisees.

If you’re interested in the All County Franchise opportunity then watch the video below and learn what the CEO has to say about what she looks for in a franchise owner.

Sandy Ferrera:

The recruitment process is there for your benefit as well as ours. This is a longterm commitment and we want to be on the same page as far as your desires and our desires. And I think that the recruitment process really is an opportunity for number one, you to figure out, “Is this a business that I want to be in? Are these people that I feel secure with that are going to help me when I need the help?” And for us, what we’re looking for is number one, can you follow a plan? Do you believe in it? You may not be as passionate as I am about it, but do you believe in it? Is this something that you see yourself doing? And also are you someone I can support? Can I get on the phone with you? Can I fly out to your house and sit down with you and have that conversation when we’re going through tough times?

We’ve had a couple of franchisees that decided that this wasn’t the business for them. I didn’t understand it, I couldn’t understand, they had this viable business that was doing well, why they would want to sell? But it wasn’t for them. And so we were able, because we had that relationship, to say, “All right, let’s get you out of it. Let’s find somebody who you are going to be happy with to take over your baby and somebody we can work with.”

And so I think that the recruitment process is there for you to really explore and identify what it’s about. And the recruitment process for us really is about can we get you to that point where you see success? I mean I’m not sure there’s ever a finish line because, well, I haven’t hit it yet. But success in whatever form your success is. I think it’s different for every franchisee, and that’s important for us too. Yes, you want every franchise to be your top-grossing franchise, but that’s unrealistic. Some people are more comfortable here and some people are more comfortable here, and it’s our job to get them to where they want to go. And I say that it’s our job, they have obviously a responsibility to drive the bus, we’re the navigation tool and the Siri online support, the ra-ra cheerleaders, the kick in the butt when you need it.
