Success Stories - Robert Eyers

Robert’s Story

Robert Eyers opened All County® Capital in Austin, Texas, on February 20, 2020—the very day pandemic headlines began to shift the global economy. Despite the "surreal" timing, Robert leveraged his extensive background in luxury hotel operations to build a highly successful firm from the ground up. Starting with just one part-time employee, he has grown his team to 15 professionals overseeing 1,000 units. Robert’s journey is a testament to the Sage archetype: he prioritizes "collective wisdom" by regularly visiting fellow franchisees to compare notes and optimize operations. Today, he balances a thriving, scaled business with the personal freedom to be present for his family, proving that a disciplined, relationship-based approach can flourish even in the most challenging market conditions.

All County Property Franchisee Since 2020

  • "I was exploring various business models, specifically interested in rental properties, which naturally led me to property management. While researching, I looked at several large competitors with hundreds of locations, but they felt like 'machines' where you were just a number. All County® stood out because it was a more personal environment where I could immediately build direct relationships with other franchisees and the people at the top of the organization. That accessibility made it the right choice for me."

  • "I managed operations for luxury hotels, including brands like Kimpton and Fairmont. Hotel management is remarkably similar to property management—it’s all about managing 'check-ins.' However, in hotels, guests check in for 48 hours and the pace is set by others. In property management, we look for 'guests' to check in for 48 months. This transition allowed me to take ownership of my time and move at a pace that I design, rather than one set by a corporate office."

  • "I utilized a $150,000 SBA loan with a 10-year term to launch the business. In the early stages, I chose to invest heavily in advertising—more so than most—which kept our expenses high initially but drove significant sales growth. This strategic decision allowed us to scale rapidly, reaching 300 doors in just our first two years of operation."

  • "The most satisfying part is the freedom to design my own life. I have the flexibility to leave the office to coach my son’s T-ball practice or take my kids on a road trip to the beach during spring break. Additionally, I enjoy the intellectual challenge of the industry. Real estate allows you to experiment with different divisions like commercial or HOA management. You have the autonomy to try something, refine what works, and move away from what doesn't to enhance the business."

  • 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' by Robert Kiyosaki: For its foundational truths on assets and investing.

'Who Moved My Cheese?' by Spencer Johnson: This was vital for us during a major transition when we acquired another business to double our size. It's an excellent study on adapting to change.

The All County® Founders' Books: Both the founder and a fellow franchisee have written books on real estate investing that provided valuable industry-specific insights.
